The rise of the Fallmoon (or "How the devil came out of the moon and turned the world gloomy")
Many years ago at the beginning of the Second Dark Age...

It began with the call of the Void.
A horrible wail that shattered the calmness of the world,
giving way to a new era of darkness.

As the sky turned to black ancient evils thought long defeated rose again from the depths of the earth.
The roar of thunder and the changing of the winds heralded the arrival of the first demonic legions.
Both elf and man could only gaze in silence as the once flawless surface of the moon was scarred by darkness,
the devil itself trying to break of its lunar prison.

It took but an hour for the first human settlements to be destroyed,
a day before the first city was overrun.
The berserker god Attilios was the first one to stand against the devil's resurgence,
he was also the first one to fall.
Puppeteering the fallen god's form the devil infiltrated the human pantheon,
weakening its connection to the world.

The followers of the berserker succumbed to lunacy soon after,
taking the beasts of the forest with them.
With the choir of the human pantheon falling into a whisper the elves saw a chance for revenge,
many taking up devil worship to aid the demons in their conquest.
They named themselves the demonic priesthood.

This was the beginning of the Second Dark Age.
