The Dwarves
“BOULDER AND SLATE!,”
-Dwarven war cry.
The mighty sons of the mountains, the dwarves -despite their size- stand tall among the harsh environments of the Northern Lands. They worship the golden dragon Gorlorakanamand who is said to be the father of gold and gems.
Most dwarves are employed in Munthar&Co’s Dwarven Digging Company; a large mining corporation (duh) who might also be dabbling in the search for ancient dragons. Due to clever bargaining the company basically governs all of dwarven society, putting a halt to a centuries long civil war and bringing the power of steam to all houses who’s leaders would “just sign this contract right here”.
In the art of the forge the dwarves are unmatched, with only the elves potentially being a close second only being held back by their lack of materials. They often trade forged goods with humans in return for protection and the right to continue worshipping the golden dragon. A specialized council oversees what advancements in forge craft may or may not be made, as the dwarves are very proud of their 100% dwarven authenticity and don’t like any ideas that break away from their traditional philosophies.
And the dwarves are here!
(Before anyone asks, yes female dwarves can have beards.)
Next are probably the Efreet, but who knows; I might change my mind on that!
May the Powers guide thy way to enlightenment,
